Dealing with the Drought:

+ Don’t burn outdoors- Most Middle Tennessee counties are under a state burn ban or have issued their own. The bans prohibit all open-air burning, including  debris, campfires and outdoor grills.

+ Don’t shoot fireworks- They’re banned or discouraged in many Middle Tennessee communities this year because of the dry weather. Chose a professional show instead.

+ Keep cool and hydrated- Drink plenty of liquids, and stay in the shade or air conditioning.

+ Conserve water- The City of Spring Hill has asked residents to voluntarily reduce water use due to high water demand. The City has a water rationing policy for watering. Even numbered homes may water their lawns on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. Odd number homes may water their lawns on Saturday, Monday and Wednesday.

+ Safeguard pets- Provide plenty of fresh water and access to a cool area.
